“Even if you live a long time, don’t take a single day for granted. Take delight in each light-filled hour ” – Ecclesiastes 11:8, The Message
This time last year, I was leaned over a hospital bed in the worst pain of my life. Moments later, I heard my second-born cry for the first time. Since 8:44am on March 25, 2011, there have been many more cries, many more giggles, smiles, bumps, bruises, hugs, kisses, and milestones. My baby is no longer an infant. Today he becomes a bona fide toddler. There’s so much more fun to come, but today, I’d like to take it all in and be happy for our first year together. Afterall, this is the last first year this family will ever have again.
