So we are 4 months and 10 days away from moving back home. I am anxious beyond belief. On one hand, I’m super thrilled that we’re going to be back in our part of the world and very close to both sides of the family again. On the other hand, Virginia rent costs about double compared to where we live now. I don’t know how we’re going to pull this off, but in the famous words of Tim Gunn, we’ll “make it work.”
Right now, I’m really feeling this song. I’ve heard it on the radio about a million times and its so FREAKIN’ catchy! The music video just doesn’t do it justice, but I have to share…
Another awesome thing I found online is this video of a couple’s first dance at their wedding. This has to be the absolute best wedding video I’ve ever seen because they reenacted the last scene from Dirty Dancing. Just watch in amazement:
Earlier today, Ronnie and I were driving around like mad people trying to get our errands done and make his hearing appointment on time. While en route, this song came on the radio. I had heard it before, but for some reason it hit me like a ton of bricks today. The song is about a car that an ex-soldier buys and it has a note in it from a soldier who died during war in the 60s. More specifically, he’s a private. Thinking about the words, I just bawled. So many young men and women stand up to serve their country and they never come home. It makes me feel so thankful (yet guilty at the same time) that nothing happened to Rob during his 12-month tour in Afghanistan. Well, nothing deadly anyhow. All of our soldiers, dead and alive, are constantly in my prayers. Everyone should take some time to be thankful for their sacrifice – especially this weekend!
A last little tidbit to add to this totally RANDOM post is that Ronnie put himself to bed tonight – 2 hours early. Its now almost 10pm and he’s still sleeping. Its so cute but at the same time I know he’s going to be up way early in the morning and I won’t be ready.
Hope everyone has a happy Memorial Day Weekend!
