I’ve noticed something about myself. Blogging is certainly therapeutic for me as a mom and homemaker. It helps me to stay on top of things and to constantly improve my processes and environment. I would seriously go crazy without this outlet. Over the past 2 years, I have dedicated myself to simplifying everything about my life. A true minimalist would look at my blog and laugh, because I’m nowhere near living out of a suitcase or picking up and traveling the world in an instant. But to me, that’s not what my brand of minimalism is about – that’s not even what I’m striving for. Its not a fad I’m into. Its something that’s always been a part of me in some way but could never explain or put my finger on. Its simple. Simplicity is beautiful to me.
So, to help me get my home in order – to celebrate my progress and analyze what’s still left to work on, I’m showing our home off to the world. Its nowhere near a magazine-worthy minimalist home with granite counter tops and shiny white floors. Its a humble apartment that houses me, my husband, and our two kids. It’s our simple home.0
